The Hobo Code

Forced from his home by his conniving mother, Vincent finds himself alone and ill-

equipped to navigate a world where the Great Depression is reshaping life for nearly

everyone. Can he adapt? Can he survive?

As spirits soar and morale plummets amidst the rise of prohibition, a dark shadow

looms. A shadow that seems to follow the moonshiners who exploit the chaos to

establish illicit markets in small towns. Each new town Vincent stumbles into, he

encounters fresh threats in the form of suffering and fear. Starving, desperate, and

possibly pursued by a man with smooth-soled shoes, Vincent discovers unexpected aid

in a mysterious code imparted by an enigmatic old man with unclear intentions, whose

help he was in no shape to deny. This new eccentric mentor teaches Vincent about a

code used by hobos to navigate and survive. A Hobo’s Code which gives Vincent an

advantage and lessons on how to avoid danger and an ominous threat whispered about

in the shadows…the Moon King.

Perhaps, with grit and a few helping hands, he can forge a new path and mold himself

into the man he aspires to be. However, Vincent is about to learn that not all monsters

live in books...
